For the past 2weeks, i witness 3 of my friends ended their relationships. And one of them have been with her boyfriend for years. hmmmm..i guess hearing all their stories somehow affected me. Being a big fan of seafood, we went to the fish market to grab the freshest catch! i didn't fancy seafood that much till i met janan. the way he talks lovingly about seafood & the way he gobbles his king prawns..he easily converts me into a seafood-lover! The fish market in australia provides a wider range of seafood than spore..& lobsters are way much cheaper too! That's probably the reason why we ate like half of the ocean on that day! haha! somehow our dates always revolves around food! the next date is to a bavarian restaurant! to be continued...

Yesterday, one of our beloved gluts got married! I just saw pictures of her Malay wedding on mandy's blog. Thanks to mandy for posting them! I'm so eager to know what had happened back home at the wedding! Though i’m 5414 kilometers away from home, i'm equally overwhelmed & happy for prawn! Silly as it sound, i had to stop myself from tearing looking at the wedding pictures. Pardon me from being so sentimental.. Prawn and the rest of the gluts are friends that i hold very dear to my heart. I guess i've never told them before how very grateful I am to have met them. They are the ones that make up most of my happy memories in my JC days. I can still remember how I was struggling in JC…how going to school was an agony in that foreign and hostile environment. These girls are the ones who approached and talked to me when no one else could be bothered. And without any hesitant, they readily accepted me into their group. I had so much fun with them…our usual bridge session, swimming during free periods, ice-cream buffets at swensons, gossip session at brekko etc. It was a short year together before all of us graduated and went on our different paths. Even under such situation where we do not see one another as often, I still like them as much as before. Therefore, it’s really nice to see one of them got settled down & happily married. I really look forward seeing the rest of the gluts achieve their very own happiness. In my heart, you girls totally deserve the best of everything.

I plucked up my courage and went to building39 room432. i think my heart was beating so fast i could faint anytime. i knocked on the door..opened it & i saw a 'ah-neh' guy. obviously not my 'ang-moh' lecturer. turns out it is building 39A, not just 39. great, i have to suffer the horror like 2 times. anyway, in the end, i was a very brave girl.. i went to see him in his room & i sat there and listen to him talk for like 36mins. ALL of that just because i wanted 1 more mark for my report. you bloody give me that 1 mark.

I recieved mixed reviews about the movie before i watched it. thus, i was skeptical how much i would like it, since i was never a big fan of their drama. But i have to say, i enjoyed the movie very much!! It was awesome! i think every girl should spend the $$ & go watch the movie! all those pretty clothes, shoes & bags in it! Just that part alone is worth my ticket money..haha! And the storyline revolves around LOVE, cliche it is, but i'm still a sucker for that. And it reminds me of my girlfriends and how much i miss them.
i've been away for awhile. Not just the fact that i'm in australia for 2 years, but i was also caught up work before that. I feel that i have missed out so many important events of their lives..i really wished i could get back home soon & catch up with everything that i've lost. Moreover, one of my beloved girlfriend is getting married next month! & i can't go home to be her bridesmaid =( it's really a pity i can't go back & i really hope she knows how much i wished i could be there on her wedding. Prawn, i'm really happy for you..here's wishing you a house full of sunshine, hearts full of joy, and a Love that grows deeper each day! & joy, qifang, mandy, yvette and sheena! i miss all of you too! *boohoo

Big Dad's Pies! i finally found them!! a friend told me it's really nice & i've been looking for their shop in the city. Janan & me were on our way to the taxation office where we saw it..call it 'destiny". haha!! tried their satay chicken & steak mushroom..not too bad! but their satay chicken doesn't taste like satay at all! i guess aussies think satay is a type of curryyy?? After lunch, we head to Southbank for a movie & took heaps of pictures with kungfu panda! ya, we're highly anticipating the release of the movie! 26th June! Kungfu Panda!

Yesterday, we headed off to school at 8am in the pouring rain to hand up our last report for the semester. And it's Janan final semester and final assignment of his university life so i made him pose with the assignment box..haha!! Luckily janan loves it as much as i do, so after shopping at chermside, we took a bus just to go get pizzas! & we tried the new triple cheese pizzas! it's alright..still not cheesy enough for us =p oh, Krispy Kreme opened its brisbane store 3wks ago..so people from Sydney & Melbourne, stop bragging that only u guys have krispy kreme. i tried a 5 flavors so far...& seriously, i've no idea what is the hype about their donuts. they're alright..but a little too oily. i think i've tasted better donuts before..but no complains, it's anytime for a donut!

In Singapore, we get fireworks maybe like 2-3times a year?? on national day, new year eve countdown? over here in brisbane, we get fireworks for every mini minor festival! there was 3 fireworks display just in the month of may! they have it for buddha festival, expo '88 & one coming up for the greek festival. & it is at southbank , just across my house! oh well, i can't see from my room cause there is this building blocking the view..so me & janan had to get out of the house to see it. i love fireworks! it makes you feel that this is such an amazing world we are living in =)

anzac day
me & janan woke up early today to attend the Anzac Day Parade which is just beside my house. The parade is actually a march made up of veterans from all past wars, current serving members of the Australian Defence Forces, cadets, scouts, guides and other uniformed service. Of course there are the marching bands & pipe bands which i like the most=) Anzac Day is actually Australia's National Day of Remembrance of those brave men who lost their lives in wars. I think it is such a meaningful event...Singapore should have it too!! We should have an occasion to show our respect & appreciation for all the old people who have contributed so much for our country! They should not be neglected or dumped in nursing or old folks home! okok, it's getting a little personal. anyway, here are some pictures that janan braced through the crowds & manage to take..enjoy it!

i can't believe this is happening..life can't be so cruel. when i left home 1 year ago, she is still that same happy healthy dog. 5 months ago, i heard the first news that she is falling sick. soon after that, my mum told me that her eyes have gone blind. it hit me hard..i couldn't stop myself from crying.
it's okie grace, you have to be strong.
So, for the past few months, dad, mum & bro gave in their all to take care of a sick & blind dog. No one can understand how difficult that is..but they still do it out of the love for this sweetie that have stayed by our side & gave our family so much joy over the past 10 years.
After enduring 5 long months, it's finally time to go back home to see sarah. i've got my last exam paper on 17th Nov itself, but i still chose to fly back home immediately after my paper. Just as i was relishing in happiness that i would be going home in 10days time, the harsh reality sets in. i was informed that sarah suffered a stroke on friday, & she could no longer walk anymore. mummy say her condition is worsening every minute..she is not eating much, & she whines in pain.. =( it's just 10 more days...why???

Arrived Adelaide about a week ago but i've been so busy that i just dropped dead onto the bed at like 10pm everynight! amazing it is...cause i used to sleep at 3am or 4am back in Brisbane.
Anyway, Adelaide has been good.
The scenery is gorgeous here! Me & Janan have officially declared that Adelaide City is much better than the Brisbane one. All the buildings are so beautiful..i feel like i'm in the states or something =)
Nonetheless, of course the fact that my sis is here makes the whole difference too!
sis is so busy everyday...i will only see her at night cause she'll occupied with her labwork in the day i love it here with sis...dont wanna go back at all!!!
well well...thats not going to come true UNLESS i quit school then. =p

total retail therapy weekend!
Janan kept his promise & brought me to this Gigantic shopping mall at Chermside yesterday. Westfield Chermside is the largest regional shopping centre in Queensland, located in Brisbane's inner northern suburbs. There's about 360 retail stores covering on the 122,000 sqm² ground >>>it's really a shopping paradise!
we had really nice sushi, crepes & indian curry for lunch before we start the shopping spreee.
shopping REALLY makes me happy. i bought a 80's cardi,2 necklaces,a scarf,a tee & 3 nail polish. not much stuff but it is enough to burn a hole in my packet. Janan bought this really nice JAG jeans & a hat. come to think of it. i think he just came up with the excuse of bringing me shopping to fulfil his own shopping desires.
